Allocations

Preliminary Allocations applications must be submitted to the SGA Office by Monday, December 1, 2014 at 4:30 p.m. Only complete applications will be accepted; a complete application includes a completed Allocations Request Form, 4-digit and 6-digit budgets in the SGA budget format, and a complete and updated membership list. Supplemental materials may be included with the application.

Final Allocations applications must be submitted to the SGA Office by Friday, February 6th, 2015 at 4:30 p.m. – applications submitted after 4:30 p.m. on Friday will not be considered for the Allocations process. Only complete applications will be accepted; a complete application includes a completed Allocations Request Form, 4-digit and 6-digit budgets in the SGA budget format, and a complete and updated membership list. Supplemental materials may be included with the application. Please contact the SGA Office if you, or your organization, has any questions regarding the Allocations process. Appointments can be made to review and assist organizations with budgets.

The first reading of the Allocations bill will be on March 5, 2015 at 7:00 p.m. in the Black and Gold Room.
The second reading of the Allocations bill will be on March 12, 2015 at 7:00 p.m. in the Black and Gold Room. All student organizations requesting Allocations money must have a student representative present at the second reading for the duration of the meeting. Failure to have a representative present at any time during the meeting will result in an irreversible zero-funding of the student organization.

Appropriations

Appropriations is now closed for the 2013-2014 fiscal year. FY14-15 requests will be opened in September.

Educational Opportunity Fund

Equipment

Equipment requests are now closed for the 2013-2014 fiscal year. FY14-15 requests will be opened in September.

Speaker/Event Request

Speaker/event requests are now closed for the 2013-2014 fiscal year. FY14-15 requests will be opened in September.

Student Organizations may receive up to $1,000 from the Appropriations fund in an academic year. Student Organizations who receive allocations funding for the current academic year are not eligible to receive funds from this account. Forms must be submitted by 12:00PM on Wednesday for a hearing to be scheduled at that week’s Appropriations Committee meeting.

Waiver Request

Waivers can be granted to organizations on-campus that increase the involvement and education of students attending Fort Hays State University, who are not approved by the Student Organizations Committee. This waiver allows such organizations to receive funds from the Student Activity Fee.  The President of the Student Government Association has the option to approve a waiver and submit that approval to the Student Senate for ratification.  Waivers for the Allocations process must be submitted to the SGA office prior to the January 28, 2014 final deadline. The granting of a waiver is not guaranteed,  as it is subject to approval and ratification.
